Step 1: Download and Install PicsArt


First, ensure you have the PicsArt app installed on your device. It is available for both Android and iOS. Download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you haven’t already.


Step 2: Open PicsArt and Import Your Photo


1. Open the PicsArt app.


2. Tap on the “+”button at the bottom of the screen to start a new project.


3. Select the photo you want to edit from your gallery.




Step 3: Change the Background to Red


1. Once your photo is loaded, tap on the Effects button at the bottom.


2. Scroll through the effects and choose the Colors category.


3. Select the Color Replace option.


4. Use the color picker tool to select the area of the background you want to change.


5. Adjust the hue slider to red. Fine-tune the settings to ensure the entire background changes to red while keeping the subject unaffected.






Step 4: Refine the Background


1. If the background change is not perfect, use the Eraser tool to clean up any areas where the red color might have bled onto the subject.


2. Zoom in and carefully erase any unwanted red from the edges of the subject.




Step 5: Add a Name to the Photo


1. Tap on the Text button at the bottom of the screen.


2. Type the name you want to add.


3. Choose a font style that suits your photo.


4. Adjust the size and position of the text by dragging and pinching on the screen.


5. To make the text stand out, consider adding a shadow or outline. This can be done by tapping on the text and selecting Style where you can add effects like stroke, shadow, and more.




Step 6: Final Adjustments


1. Once you are satisfied with the background and the added text, make any final adjustments to the overall photo. You can use the Adjust tool to tweak brightness, contrast, and saturation.


2. If you want to add any additional effects or stickers, feel free to explore the various options PicsArt offers.




Step 7: Save and Share Your Photo


1. Tap on the Next button at the top right corner.


2. Save the edited photo to your device or share it directly on social media platforms from within the app.




Tips for Better Results


- Ensure good contrast between your subject and the red background to make the name stand out.
